Recap for 04/24/2008

Today on The Covino and Rich Show, we kicked off by talking about making sex tapes. The boys thought it would be harder than they expected because there was a lot of things one had to take into consideration, such as where to prop the camera and lighting, that when it came down to it you were more focused on getting good angles and capturing the whole ordeal, than you were on actually enjoying the sex. The boys asked listeners to call in and share their sex tape stories, and to give any pointers they had on doing something like this. Covino was baffled as to how one would actually get a girl to agree to this. Rich suggested that maybe it all came down to making her feel comfortable, letting her keep the tape, and basically giving her full control of the situation.

Next we welcomed our guest, Gotham Comedy club comedian Tom Papa, to the show to talk with us about having a song with your girl. The boys realized that for every woman they had ever dated there was a song that coincided with the relationship, a song that they never got to pick, but was thrust upon them by their significant other that would always remind them of her. Covino realized that the songs you shared with girls were usually sad, he felt that maybe woman did this on purpose so that when the relationship ended, you were tortured by the song. Rich agreed and further pointed out that the song could never be used for a different girl, and the worst thing you could do is tell a new girlfriend about a song you shared with your old one. Both boys felt that the only person you should have a song with is your girlfriend, not your guy friends and that the song shouldn’t be forced it should just happen. We then asked listener to call in and tell us about the lame songs they’ve had with females and how they came to be.

Next we talked about something Rich considered to be a POA but Covino wasn’t in totally agreement with him. It appears that the manager of the Yankees Joe Girardi, is trying to take control of the team’s diet. To read the story click, here. He feels that everyone will play a better game if they cut out unhealthy foods and start paying attention to their health so he has started implementing bands. He band alcohol from their flights home after an away game, and has now proceeded to do away with the presence of candy, ice cream, and sunflower seeds in the Yankee dugout. Rich thinks this is ridiculous because these are grown men and they should be able to choose what goes into their bodies. But Covino understands where Girardi is coming from because these are men that are paid to compete and there for should be in the best shape possible. Listeners called in and expressed mixed emotions on the topic, some agreed with Rich and others with Covino. The boys than decided that if Joe Girardi could do this than so could they, and so they said that they were going to try and control Spots diet. Seeing as he is the face and representation of the C&R show he should make sure he is presentable.

Lastly we did an Old School Movie Tribute with, “Back to The Future” and had people call in to answer some trivia questions as well as to throw some questions at us.
